The Talent of Emma Adlard

Lavender Haze acrylic on canvas by Emma Adlard

Emma studied Fine Art at the University of Newcastle in NSW. She loves the natural world and specialises in nature scenes, focusing on trees and flowers. Emma is heavily influenced by abstract expressionist artists such as Jackson Pollock but also has a soft spot for post-impressionist works such as Vincent van Gogh’s Iris paintings.

Emma flicks, pours, drips, and splatters the paint to create abstract impressions of flora and landscapes that are full of motion and mood. She loves to imitate the vibrancy and movement of nature. In “Lavender Haze” or “Field Of Poppies” you can almost feel the breeze moving through the flowers, making them sway.

Emma works in acrylics on canvas.

Emma does commission work – please drop in or message us to discuss!
