TASSIE-T
TASSIE-T are growers of tea for more than 30 years:
Tassie-T first brought tea into Tasmania as a research project for the Department of Agriculture. The project became their passion and business. Now a privately-owned enterprise, they grow tea on their eight acre property in Allens Rivulet, at the entrance to the beautiful Huon Valley. They operate primarily under Tassie-T, but are also known as Dry Ideas and Scientific Horticulture.
A Farm-to-table business:
Tassie-T grow, harvest, process, blend,. and package their tea onsite – ready to be enjoyed by you! They believe in preserving the environment, and are proud to say that their teas are natural and pesticide-free.
A family owned and operated business:
Tassie-T operates with the hard work and tinkering of Dr. Gordon Brown, a scientist with a PHD in horticulture from USYD, and his wife Jane, a former teacher and food technologist. They are now joined by their youngest daughter, Charlotte, who is a business graduate and former competition coordinator of the Golden Leaf Awards.
