This unusual pendant was created from a 10mm round cut smoky quartz which has been set into alternating slices of huon pine and myrtle. The pendant is finished with a sterling silver chain. Total length of the pendant is 45cm.

Bella Vandermeer gained her Fine Arts degree at the University of Newcastle. She says of herself that she’s a bit of a tart when it comes to art. She develops an obsession about a certain material or process and works it to death. As one obsession passes, another takes her on a ride.
The diversity of her art practice fits well with her abhorrence of society’s penchant for slotting people into nice, neat categories.
Love brought Belle to Tasmania, a move she has never regretted.
