June calls this scarf an “art scarf.” How true. It is wearable art. Made from a gorgeous selection of pastel silk fabrics which have been skillfully selected and matched and hand-felted in merino wool. The scarf can be draped in so many ways, each giving it a different look. Casual or evening!

Textile Artist
Often organic and textural in nature, each original, one-off works are definite statement pieces. Whether it be a scarf, wrap or garment, or a vessel, sculpture or lamp; guaranteed it will be a talking point at any occasion.
Felt-making is a slow and ancient process of making fabric.. From my home studio in the pure air of coastal Tasmania, at the bottom of the world, I use only the finest of Australian merino fleece often combining it with silks and other fibres in this traditional wet felting technique. A sustainable process, it uses only fleece, water and agitation – no machines, sewing or glues – as each piece is carefully laid out and hand-rolled into a fabulous felted fusion of colour and harmony. I hope each of my handcrafted pieces reflect the joy and inspiration of a person who is doing what she loves and ‘midwifing’ it to the world.
